Imagine this:
donotreply.com GUY: Hey, uh, a document that looks real important (and I shouldn't be receiving) was just sent to me by one of your customers -- you might want to revisit the reply address you put on your emails.
EMBARRASSED COMPANY: How dare you steal our customer's information.
DG: Look, they sent it to me, I did not steal it.
EC: We're going to sue you!!!
DG: Sue me, because you told your customer the domain I own is where your email came from?
EC: We're going to sue you!!!
DG: Look, let's just forget about it...
EC: SUE!!! SUE!!! SUE!!!
COOL PHOTOGRAPHY IDEA
This is one of those ideas that has probably been around for a while. You hear about it, and think "what a great idea." Well, it goes like this: dude buys a disposable camera, ties it to a bench, and posts a sign. The sign tells people to take pictures, and I'll come pick up the camera later. Sounds like fun, doesn't it?
This guy posted the picture from his experiment. [Here is the link]

QUIT YOUR CRYING
Wednesday, February 06, 2008
People in San Antonio are all up in arms because some of the local public schools are probably going to get closed. I thought it was stupid, but finally realized why they are so bothered. My thought is this: people are most connected to their most recently attended academic institution. In some places people have the logo, or initials of their alma mater, well here, it seems, the tradition is a little different. Many people have the name of their high school on the back of their cars.
There are months (read several) that go by that I don't think of any of the high schools I attended. I'm annoyed by these people.

GOOGLE - gPHONE
Sunday, November 04, 2007
Do it! Do it! Pull the trigger!! I doubt the gPhone will drop the kinds of eye candy the iPhone brings, but the cool thing about Google is the simple efficiency their projects have. Just consider the simplicity of Google.com. Word is it will be running Linux and will probably be tethered to Sprint and T-mobile (or, maybe Sprint and Verizon. But, I hope something really cool happens with the 700 MHz spectrum. With the online suite of goodies that Google has (Gmail, Documents, Maps, Calendar, Photos, and more) they, I suspect, plan to deliver the goods with a high-speed wireless broadband pipe and not sweat the storage on the phone. Synchronization would be easy across Windows, Mac, and Linux.
UTSA IN THE NEWS
Saturday, November 03, 2007
Maybe not the way you want your undergraduate institution to be in the news... well... I guess you have to have your niche. UTSA, where I completed my undergrad, looks like it may be getting its very own porn club. nice -- as in, "Hey isn't that the school that..." kind of nice.
ORGANIC BATTER BLASTER
Kick ass! Pancakes in an aerosol can, reminiscent of Easy Cheese (ever wonder how much cheese was in that can?) I don't know many people are excited by aerosol food like me, but you have to admit mixing pancake batter (getting the lumps out) sucks!
LEOPARD IS HERE

I just got my copy of 10.5 installed. I'm really digging it. As far as looks go, and some of the neat features go Apple did well. Stacks is pretty cool, Spaces, and Time Machine are too. The feature I like the most is the updated Mail.app. It is as fast as they say it is. I really like the RSS feeds though. Having access to news feeds offline, and automatic is pretty cool. I don't know if it will fully replace Newsfire, but it does come with the OS.
LAW SCHOOL BLOGGING
Tuesday, August 28, 2007
I haven't decided how I'm going to break this up, but I'll be blogging about law school and law related things at roberthouselaw.com.
LAW SCHOOL: DAY 1
Yesterday was the first day of law school. There was most certainly fear in the air, and I think that most people are just overacting (especially this early in the game - save it for finals). So far as I can tell the greatest difficulty will be keeping up in the reading. Not something I have been known for - not that I don't read quickly, it's just that I don't always read. That is the change I'm going to have to make in my studying, and I plan on leaving my laptop in its bag during class. I just can't be trusted around it - ADD kicks in and next thing you know I'm curious about some API that will download live stock quotes, including quotes from the Tokyo Stock Exchange. (I may have already even started the Perl code at some point.) Back to the point: school is off to a start, and I have the rest of my semester classes today. I don't think that this will be too bad - there is so much hype about law school, especially the first year, and I don't think it is always deserved. Or maybe my undergrad was such a kick in the pants... maybe I'm just speculating too much - it is the first day after all.

GOOD NEWS AND BETTER NEWS
Thursday, July 19, 2007
Today I went down to the office of advising for the college of sceinces at UTSA and made sure that I could get some details changed on my degree -- what I really wanted to do was get the catalog year changed so that I would have a concentration in Information and Computer Security. That all went without a hitch, and I also discovered that I don't need to complete the labs that I have been taking.. I'm pretty sure I'm going to abandon them... reason: they aren't going to do anything for me anymore, because... I got into law school. That's right, after I thought I was going to redouble my effort, retake the LSAT, and take the PAT BAR to make my application look super attractive, I don't have to do that anymore. I'm in. I start St. Mary's University School of Law next month (August 27th to be exact). My education will begin in the early evening part-time program.
DEAR SUBWAY, ABOUT CHEESE...

EXTREME FISHING
Thursday, July 12, 2007
The fight was on and there was clearly a massive beast at the other end. By now the the shark was out about 600+yds and after about half an hour I get him turned and coming in. I get him back to 2nd sandbar and when he saw that, it decided the sandbar was not his friend and turned around swimming like a tanker due straight offshore. The fish then travels slightly to the north and I hop down and begin to follow it and somehow attempt to clean off the collected weed.
By now it is about 6:30pm with the sun just above the dunes I am over an hour into the game... Solo and strapped in and a locked down drag on 100# braid, with most of it dumped far into the sea. THIS IS WHAT I LIVE FOR.
